R is a programming language that is popular for data exploration, visualization, and statistical analysis. This workshop will introduce participants to basic R tasks such as reading data into R, analyzing data, and plotting data. No prior programming knowledge is required, just a basic understanding of computer files and folders.
Prior to the workshop, participants should install R first, followed by the free version of RStudio Desktop. Registrants will be emailed installation instructions. If you need help installing these, please schedule a coding consultation and we'd be glad to help you.
This workshop is part of the Using Programming and Code for Research series for for anyone who wants to get started or learn more about use programming languages like Python, R, or other applications. These tools can help you to collect, manipulate, clean, analyze, and visualize research data or automate many repetitive tasks.
