Building on a basic knowledge of R and introductory statistics, this workshop will walk you through the R functionality you'll need to use when conducting hypothesis tests on categorical data. We will practice reading in data, creating 2x2 tables, conducting tests of proportion, chi-square tests, and computing measures of association. It is recommended that you have used R before (even if you consider yourself a beginner) and it is also recommended that you have taken an introductory statistics course.
Prior to the workshop, participants should install R first, followed by the free version of RStudio Desktop. Registrants will be emailed installation instructions. If you need help installing these, please schedule a Coding Consultation and we'd be glad to help you.
