GW Responsible Conduct of Research Seminar Series will feature distinguished speaker: Ivan Oransky, MD, Co-Founder, Retraction Watch; Editor in Chief of Spectrum and Distinguished Journalist In Residence at New York University’s Carter Journalism Institute
Following this session, attendees will:
- understand trends in retractions of scientific papers; and
- consider steps the community might take to clean up the literature more effectively and promote trust.
These sessions are open to faculty, postdocs, students, and staff at GW, Children’s National, and academic institutions in the D.C. region. They are designed to help attendees meet the Responsible and Ethical Conduct of Research training requirements set by the National Institutes of Health, the National Science Foundation, and other federal agencies.
