  • Identify the ethical issues impacting research trials that use genomic sequencing approaches.
  • Describe the consent process to explain secondary vs. incidental findings and their impacts on patients and families.
  • Implement consenting approaches that explain the uncertainty of current genetic testing technologies and reports.

About the Seminar:

As a condition for receiving federal funding for health research training grants and career development awards, federal funders (including NIH, DOD, and NSF) mandates all participants in training grants to receive training in RCR.
