Python is a popular programming language that novices often find easy to learn. This workshop will introduce participants to programming by using Python to focus on the basic concepts that all programming languages build upon, and will also introduce participants to working with and visualizing data in Python, using the Pandas library.

No prior programming knowledge is required, just a basic understanding of computer files and folders. There will be a one hour break halfway through the workshop.

This workshop is part of the Using Programming and Code for Research series for for anyone who wants to get started or learn more about use programming languages like Python, R, or other applications. These tools can help you to collect, manipulate, clean, analyze, and visualize research data or automate many repetitive tasks.
